Sami Al-Arian, acquitted

After five months of the prosecution presenting its case and 3 weeks of jury deliberation, a Florida court acquitted al-Arian. He is a former Florida professor accused of helping lead a terrorist group that has carried out suicide bombings against Israel. al-Arian was acquitted on nearly half the charges against him and the jury deadlocked on the rest.
